Kaizer Chiefs head coach Stuart Baxter is set to lead the club against Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League final.
Baxter has returned to the club last month as the successor for Gavin Hunt, who initially led the Chiefs to the semi-final of the Champions League.
Having not been able to receive his paperwork, Baxter didn’t lead the Wydad Casablanca games and instead interim coaches Arthur Zwane and Dillon Sheppard were the ones in charge.
This makes Stuart’s first official game in charge is arguably the biggest game in the 51 years of the club’s existence as the Chiefs will be playing their first-ever CAF Champions League final.
The CAF Champions League final between Al Ahly and Kaizer Chiefs is scheduled to take place next Saturday, July 17 at the Mohamed V Stadium in Morocco.
Mosimane’s men will be going into the game with a lot of expectations as they aim for their 10th Champions League glory, unlike Kaizer Chiefs, who are going into the game as underdogs.
