Kicking off their new partnership, New Balance launch the AS Roma 21/22 home shirt, which features a bespoke design for the Giallorossi that introduces a timeless interpretation of the club’s signature look.
Keeping it simple and clean, New Balance get their relationship with Serie A side AS Roma off to a solid start, with a design that lays the focus squarely on the club’s iconic colour palette ahead of the 21/22 season. Roma and Nike somewhat surprisingly parted way last season after a successful period together, and New Balance swooped in to pick up the reigns. A tall order given what’s come before, but something New Balance clearly weren’t afraid to take on.
The unique design incorporates a v-neck collar and ribbon cuff details in yellow, whilst an outer label features the words ‘La Lupa’; an historic nickname of the Capitoline team, and a nod to the iconic female wolf symbol around which the city’s lore – and the club’s logo – is built. A subtle tonal pin-stripe design is also visible on the front of the shirt, which is accompanied by matching shorts.
“It’s always exciting when a new kit is revealed, especially this season,” said club captain Lorenzo Pellegrini. “The new design was popular with the team from the moment we saw it and we are all looking forward to wearing it.”
